About Me
I grew up in Big Sky country. I loved telling stories even from an early age, completing and publishing my first short story at around age 8 about milk stealing aliens invading local ranches. It's been a never-ending passion ever since. While attending Montana State University-Billings I majored in English and Spanish education, but always made time to squeeze in the odd writing course. I have been published in various books of proceedings after competing in numerous writing contests, including a first prize award for my Spanish-language story El espejo. I was featured in the 2013 Topeka Community novel Speakeasy as the author of chapter sixteen and the 2014 Topeka Community novel Spirits of Oz for chapter 8. Speakeasy and Spirits of Oz are available at amazon.com.
I have written numerous short stories and I am currently working on a couple of ambitious projects - a 7 book paranormal/urban fantasy series based on world mythology and an 8 book historical fiction series. In between working on entries for the two series, I have squeezed in a mystery thriller and a couple of novellas inspired by the Covid-19 pandemic. A collection of short stories entitled The Mistletoe Operation and Other Tales is currently available at www.barnesandnoble.com as an e-book for $.99.
I am a member of Kansas Writers, Inc., the Blackbirds Writing Group, and the Topeka Wrimos - all of which provide me with invaluable support in my writing career.

I share my writing space with several other supporters who are always there to give me moral support, keep my feet and hands warm during the writing process, and can always be counted on to listen to a scene and trouble shoot for me. My black cat clowder consists of Hechicero (b. 2017), Diablera (b. 2019), Lucifero (b. 2021), Espantoso (b. 2021) and Sombra (b. 2024). These 5 clowns were presided over by the golden queen Hathor (2005 -2022). They are joined by Suerte (b. 2023) and our newest golden beauty Peanut (b. 2023). Now they oversee the Beagle Chewbacca (b. 2022) and Great Pyr/Newfoundland Patas (b. 2023).
